If anyone has information that they can share with Joyce, please contact me at Becca@Geffrefamily.com. I can then give you her contact information.

Joyce contacted me via email in October 2004. She has information on the family tree that she can share. She is also seeking some. Knowing that Sebastian has done some extensive research on this topic, I sent an email to him and John Geffre twice, asking if they could help. Joyce and I have not heard back from them yet.

Below is the letter she wrote back to me:

Thank you so much Becca for getting back to me. I am anxious to see if anyone contacts me
about the Geffre family history and the things I would like for genealogy.  I knew the family was big
and this is going to be a very large task getting it done.  My problem is when I send out the form I
like to use to gather information people get busy with there lives and forget to send it back to me.

I do have my grandparents Leo and Ludwina (Geffre) Dunn families all done and everything is up to
date as of now Oct 19, 2004. I take my stuff to the reunions and make everyone look it over and
add to it if there is any new additions or changes. Our family is also very large as there were 15
children. I haven't counted but there are a lot of grandchildren, great grandchildren and so on.

I am 49 years old and If I remember right, I am about the 3rd grandchild of Leo and Ludwina. There are
about 50 some grandchildren, and lots of additions to those. I have correct info on every single person
and full info, such as full names, dates, and places of birth, marriage, divorce, children, death dates
and if deceased, where they are buried, the names of the in-laws to everyone etc. We have reunions
every two years on the Leo and Ludwina side and this year 2004 they decided that since everyone is
getting older and some are having health problems that we should have a reunion every year from here on out.
Not all of the brothers and sisters make the reunions but they sure try to make it. This year we had one
Louise Lux of Craig, Colorado who didn't get to come because she had gotten run over on the highway by a
woman driving a motor cycle, a month before the reunion. She broke her legs really bad. If anyone would like a
copy of the family history I have, let me know there address and I will gladly send it on. Like I said, I have
the history on the Ludwina (Geffre) family, the Paul Geffre family who were originally from Oakes, N.D. and
Valentine Geffre in Montana. I don't have complete info on Valentines family, such as in laws names or towns
married in and divorced, or where they were born. I contacted Valentines daughter this past weekend to see if she
was gathering missing info that I can use. She is going to try to get all she can. This is quite an effort getting the
family tree information. Some days I just want to give up. I don't know what makes me continue. It gets so
frustrating. But if I can get a few to reply, at least it's something to go on, and that keeps me going. I hope to hear
from your families soon and thanks for helping me out. Also, thanks for guiding me in the direction of Sebastian.

Keep in Touch. Sincerely, Joyce
