In Loving Memory Of: Charles James Geffre

September 14, 1945 – May 14, 2005

Charles James Geffre

God grant that I may hunt and
fish until my dying day.

And when I come to my last ride, I’ll then most humbly pray.

When in the Lord’s safe landing
net I’m peacefully asleep.

That in His mercy I’ll be judged
as good enough to keep.

Times of Joy...

FOOTPRINTS IN THE SAND

One night I had a dream. I was walking
along the beach with the LORD, and across
the skies flashed scenes from his life.

In each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand. One was mine and one was the Lord's.

When the last scene of my life appeared
before me, I looked back at the footprints
in the sand. To my surprise, I noticed many times along the path of my life there was only one set of footprints. And I noticed that it was at the lowest and saddest times in my life. ___________

I asked the Lord about it:
"LORD, you said that once I decided to follow
you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I noticed that during the most troublesome
times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why you left my side when I needed you most."

___________

The LORD said:
"My precious child, I never left you during
your time of trial. When you see only one
set of  footprints, I was carrying you."

Thank you to everyone for the support and prayers during the last seven months. Your help as our father was fighting kidney cancer was a blessing - especially during those final days in the hospital and after he passed as well.
We were very glad to see so many people come for the service on the 17th of May. We know that Dad was smiling down from above to see you all there.

God Bless you all.
